Granite Broadcasting Corporation Appoints Matthew A. Rosenfeld President & General Manager of KSEE in Fresno and Greg Catlin as General Manager of WBNG in Binghamton

(New York, NY) – July 09, 2009 – Granite Broadcasting Corporation today announced the appointments of Matthew A. Rosenfeld as President and General Manager of KSEE-TV in Fresno, California and Greg Catlin as General Manager of WBNG-TV in Binghamton/Elmira, New York, effective immediately. In making this announcement, Granite Broadcasting Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer Don Cornwell said, “On behalf of the Granite Broadcasting family, I am delighted that we have elevated both Matt and Greg, two members of our very talented staff, to new levels of responsibility. Matt and Greg are proven leaders and will be valuable assets for these stations and the communities they serve.” Since joining Granite in 2004, Mr. Rosenfeld most recently oversaw all aspects of the Company’s operations as President and General Manager of WTVH, its CBS affiliated television station serving the Syracuse/Utica market; WBNG, the CBS affiliate serving Binghamton/Elmira; and WBXI, the CW affiliate also serving Binghamton/Elmira. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Sales and Station Manager for the Company’s CBS affiliate in the Syracuse and Utica markets. In this role, he led all efforts in sales, traffic, marketing, promotion and commercial production. Prior to joining Granite, Mr. Rosenfeld held the position of Local Sales Manager for WSTM, WSTQ and WSPX, the Raycom Media stations in the Syracuse region. Mr. Rosenfeld holds a degree in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Business. In addition, he attended the National Association of Broadcaster’s Management Development for Television Executives at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Spanning almost three decades, Mr. Catlin has been with WBNG throughout most of his broadcasting career. He joined WBNG in 1982 as the Elmira Bureau Chief, news management, content coordination and coverage of Elmira-area stories for the station. Through the subsequent years, he rose among the ranks from Reporter to Anchor to Managing Editor and then on to News Director/Anchor of WBNG in 2000. He has anchored weekend, morning, mid-day and evening newscasts during his tenure. In 2007, Mr. Catlin was promoted to Vice President of News and took on the additional responsibilities of managing the news at WTVH in Syracuse, as well as WBNG.
